Rojak post

Actually took this pic on 6 June. It is just a section of the artworks on the walls of the underground passage from City link Mall to Esplanade. Left quite an impression on me...

*****************************************
Specially request to hear this song 刺激2005 on Monday nite at Muchuan. Singer /composer is 赵英俊 . What a 欠扁 name! :p

anyway I did came across the lyrics weeks ago when I am searching for 李圣杰 "痴心绝对" lyrics. My initial reaction was " Whao, got this type of song lyrics meh,. All sots of songs mixed together, liek rojak.!"

Until Welly mentioned abt it 3 weeks ago and we queried Ah du if the Monsters know how to sing this know. Turned out that he know how to play and JH knows the song too. Finnally got to hear Monsters' version 2 days ago.

Here's the lyrics. (haha, can I act "hua-chi" and joke : " Yeah, my hubby's song appeared at the starting of the chorus leh!" :P)

23 different songs in total!
*********************************

Ah Du actually recommended me this song on Tue, but I can't view the URL then as my network server blocked the MTV clip. Turn out that my friend also posted abt her liking for this song on her blog too. Hence I got the mp3 clip from her.

Ah du joked that the singer James Blunt 不会比李圣杰差. Arh.... I have no comments regarding that comment.

Lyrics attached below. Take note of the highlighted phrase.

You are beautiful by James Blunt

My life is brilliant
My life is brilliant. My love is pure.
I saw an angel. Of that I'm sure.
She smiled at me on the subway. She was with another man.
But I won't lose no sleep on that, 'Cause I've got a plan.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place, And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

Yeah, she caught my eye, As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was, Fucking high,
And I don't think that I'll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,'Cause I'll never be with you.

(La-la-la-la, La-la-la-la, La-la-la-la, Laaah)

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.

Notice this sentence :"But it's time to face the truth, I will never be with you. " ?
最能让人产生共鸣的,就是这句吧!

withdrawal syndrome!

Withdrawal syndrome”,
而是患上了“李圣杰 Withdrawal syndrome”。

刚刚关闭了 Media Player ,扭开收音机,
谁知电台竟然开始播放着李圣杰的 “痴心绝对”.....

注定 huh!

The ROM Ceremony

25 June 2005 was quite a busy yet enjoyable day. One of my best pal gotten married with her bf of 7 years (wooh). Well, though it's just a ROM ceremoy, it's rather grand.

It's rather special as they chose to have the solemisation conducted at their newly renovated flat (though they are sharing the flat with the bridegroom's sis & dad) . So it's sort of a ROM cum housewarming.

According to my friend, there's no extra charges for asking Justice of Peace to come to their house to conduct the ceremony, except they have to reimburse him for the transporation cost.
Think the couple spent quite a lot on this ceremony (from the decorations to the food), even though they are holding their customary wedding 2 years later. So sweet of them to turn it into such a memorable event.

Ok, shall show you some pics I had taken.

Trust my friend to come up with such funny ideas. She got a pink wings for herself and wore it on before the ceremony. Her husband was supposed to wear a bow tie but he only wore it for some photo shoots. I was one of the "helper" and was assigned to take pic of the couple and the guests with the polaroid camera and then quickly paste them on a guestbook and get them to sign on it. Had to admire their endurance for smiling and coming up wth different poses for every pic taken with the guests. There were 3 cameres in total ( a digital cam, a normal film-loaded camera and a polaroid ). There were at 30 guest. That means they had come up with 90 poses! Hahaha.

If you didn't know the bridegroom well, you won't believe that he is actually working as a policeman. We are all laughing at the jokes he crack-- him mimicking my friend's (his wife) act cute poses, laying down on the bed to do a sexy pose, and then getting his wife to hold the flowers to propose to him.

My friends and I all think that our friend, the bride look very good in the pics taken. Can really see her glowing face and radient smile.

The bride changed into an elegant yet sexy while gown for the ceremony. Hmm it 's a two piece dress, The top is a tube withe a layer of chiffon over it,and it was paired with a long while dress. It was completed with a pair of detachable sleeves. Someone joked abt the bride's revealing waist, asking if she is gona perdorm belly dance. Her gown sort of remind me of the costumes worn by the Queen of elves in LOTR.

Solemisation ceremony was rather serious. I din't know that after the couple said "I Do" after the regular question asked by the Justice of Peace, the couple have to hold their left hands together , raise up their right hands and repeat a pledge led by the Justice of Peace.

My friend's mum was tearing at the scene as my friend is the only child in her family. Later, she was so tired by the innocent-looking-but-potent fruit punch that she need to have a nap. Dunno what alcohol the "bartender" put in the fruit punch. Saw a few guys' faces turned red after downing one glassful of the drink. I had taken abt two glasses, though my face din't turn red, i felt dehyrated. haha. (now now my throat is a bit sore).

Before leaving their house, we were all given a pack of chocolates as wedding favors. I got an additional big present from my friend. Bridesmaid gift huh?
And guess what it is. A mini chair -- similar to the one that my friend used as her rings cushion. Erhm hmm, hinting me to get married huh??? Not so soon lah. :P

No More Sugar

No I am not talking to waiter/waitress and asking for those grains of Sugar.
I am refer to Sugar the og (see previous post).

Apparent some crazy one had gotten her way and chase Sugar out…..

Reach home near 9pm . After a long day at work, was actually looking forward to go home as I am expecting to see Sugar wagging her tail . But then the house was eerily quiet. Dad had this expressionless face, bro had a sad face , sis wasn’t ard and Mum (Tiger ) is in her room.
No sign of Sugar. An Brother told me that Sis had took her away (most prob return to the previous owner).

Well, my guess is that jealous Tiger create a fuss again.

This morning, as early at 7am, ( just as I was abt to leave the house), Tiger out of no reason took out the vacuum cleaner and start scolding while vacuuming the living room,
Grumbling that lot so of dog fur around.

Crazy woman, She usually vacuum the floor in the afternoon, or at times never vacuum. Purposely did it to wake my sis and bro up.
Really absorbed at her behaviour, cos my sis had given Sugar a bath yesterday, and Sugar spent most of the time in my bro’s room. There isn’t any fur in the living room as far as I can remember.

Guess she is really jealous as yesterday everyone, including my dad and aunt who was here for a visit came to platy with the dig, wile she gave a sulky face.

Anyway, I asked my bro what happened. And I was really disgusted, pissed off by my mum;s actions. To think a mother will resort to such measures.

Bro mentioned that after I left the house in the morning, Tiger start scream and scolding. The change her clothes and threathen to leave the house if we all still wanna keep the dog.

A case of “一哭, 二闹, 三上吊” and “有她没有我”.

According to bro, even my dad was bo chap at her craziness. But dunno why sis woke up and have an argument with Tiger, and in the end, she had to take Sugar away.

Kinda scary, cos who know what Tiger will o to Sugar when we are not ard….. ( yes she is capable of doing that. I wun mention why)

Fine lor, she got her way but she lost something. She lost the respect we have for her.

I dun understand why she is creating all this fuss. Sugar had been such a darling so far. Everyone loves her. Everyone melts at the sight of her. Even I, who is allergic to some dogs had taken a liking to her.

If she wanna argue that dogs are noisy, well Sugar is very obedient. So far she only bark once, when the previous owner came to see her.

We had even been holding the dog by her leash, so that she wun be running ard and getting into Tiger’s way. What more can she expect?!!!!!

If she wanna kick up a fuss abt how troublesome it is to look after a dog, well, my sis and bro are responsible for the cleaning up. Sis even bought a new mop so that Tiger has no reason to say we dirtied her mop.

If she is jealous of the dog, then she should reflect on herself --Why we rather spend time with Sugar than trying to talk to her.

Now that a friend mentions abt the cost of keeping a dog, and that struck me something, Could it be she is being fussy abt the money. Cos if my sis didn’t keep the dog, she can get expect more $ from my sis (when she get her first salary payout).

Really miss Sugar now. And till now at 1.24am, my sis isn’t back home yet. Expected lah.
We had such a fun time since Sugar came into our lives, why does that woman have to spoil it?!!!!

summary of events 18-24 June 2005

yah guess what, I am trying to break my record. Let's see what I can write with 15 mins.

18 June 2005
Yes i went for a hair cut. Rather surprising for some, for they know how I am trying to keep my hair long. But boh bian lah, it's getting too thick, and the hairdresser (not my regular) snipped off a lotof my hair at the sides. Sim-tia liao.

19 June 2005

Was it fated that I will come to know abt it??
I had a hunch regarding something, and upon checking, it sort of confirm my suspicions. It's really a shock. I dun wish to see my friend going through all these. But with so many "coincidences", it is really difficult not to associate her with that piece of news.

In the evening, I was at grandma's house and came across a vital piece of info which really make me exclaimed "Oh my gosh!". Any hopes regarding my friend being spared were dashed...

22 June 2005

Another "shocking" news. but this one is "pleasantly shocking". I finally gotta meet Sugar. I missed her as I returned home late on Monday and Tue nite.
Anyway if you are wondering who is Sugar, here is a pic of her:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Cute right?
My close friends will wonder, how do u manage to have a dog when there is a "Tiger" in yr home?
Well, it's due to my sis's way of doing things --- 先斩后奏.

She smuggled the dog home on Monday nite and when Tiger found out, it's to late. ( Sugar isn't a wild dog, just that it's previous owner is giving it away.) Father seems to have no objection to Sugar , hence Tiger can only nag and scold at the kids.

Well apparently, "一山不能藏虎狗".
Poor Sugar have to be held with a leash cos Tiger will roar if Sugar comes near her. Not that she is scared of dog. She is disgusted by it. Hmm perhaps she is jealous that we are showing Sugar lots of attention.

Sugar is so cute, and seldom bark. She keeps licking me when she first saw me. I'm not used to being licked by animal and went to wash my leg. Then she licked me again when she saw me. Hai, give up lah. Let her lick.

My sis crack some lame joke regarding Sugar.

When Sugar rolls on the floor, she is call "Sugar Roll".
When Sugar's naughty, and if we cane her, we can say "Sugar Cane".

23 June 2005

Upon returning home, saw Sugar wagging her tail at me. Din play with her that much as she isn't my dog, yet she's like so happy to see me. The she came over and lick me again. Asked her to get down, as i dun want her to be licking my skirt, then she lick my toes.

Played with her for a while after I had my dinner. She suddenly hed out her hand to me and the lie back on the floor. My sis said she's like 撒娇 to me, and I had to rub her belly, Whoa she 's like having this "satisfied" look.....

Cute!!!!!

Then at nite, receive a miss call and an sms from a friend. Another shocking and upsetting news. Our friend's Dad had passed away. Hope she 's coping well....

22 Juen 2005

It's 2pm and I just eaten my lunch. What a late lunch! Was pia~ing some stuff during lunch hr. Actually I enjoyed working while the rest are having their lunch, cos I can work and listen to Li Sheng Jie's album at full blast. Oh no, "黄昏" might be "dethroned" as my " Must listen" song. I dun want that to happen!

Notice I have not been updating my blog these few days. It's not becauseI wanna keep the pic of Li Sheng Jie as my "cover page" nor nothing much had happened during the past few days. In fact , too much "happenings"... Some are quite shocking....
Will write abt them later when I am more composed and "eng".

Hah I think I am the most popular staff in my company now. Due to the recruitment ad my company had put up yesterday, I have received tons of emails . Can u believed it , I had received abt 13 applications by 10am yesterday morning. Newpapers are normally distribute out around 6am the the morning, and assumed that they read the newspapers ard 8.30am to 9.30am. Woah , their response are really quick huh!

Had been scanning through their applications.
Well if I can make decisions, Haha i 'll sure scream "Out!" at those who wrote " Dear Sir".

Ahem, my real name as stated in the ad sounds and seems obviously feminine, yet some dare to address me as "Sir".

Obviously, they just "cut and paste" their resumes and covering letters from their previous emails. So "boh sim" and careless.

Next on the list are those who wrote "Please see my CV as attached" and forgot to include their attachments.

Then there are some who think that by setting their emails as Highly Important , they'll stand a higher chance of being selected. In fact I had so many mails in my inbox that come with the "!" sign that I dun even wanna click on them anymore.

Another thing I realised, it is quite easy for strangers to get hold of my office phone number, though we did not put up any contact number in the ad. Had received two calls asking abt the application form this morning. Hai.....

Ok lah, gotta pia work liao. 幸好有李圣杰(的歌)陪伴我. Keke

On becoming "Mrs Li" ....

Surprise!

Just when some of you guys were enjoying yourselves in China,
Mr Li Sheng Jie & I were secretly married under a simple wedding ceremony.
Here 's a wedding pic.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

To avoid paparazzi, the ceremony was scheduled during lunch time. Hence , it was rather rushed. That explians the simple gown and suit.

=)
***********************
Hahaha . The above is just a joke (to such extent!). The truth is that Mr Li Sheng Jie & I were “married” ard lunch time last Friday. Haha, why do I say that?

Now here’s the truth:
Last Friday, after I returned from lunch, Ms Tay asked me to check my mailbox.

“Woah!!”

She had sent me a “further photoshop-ed” pic of me and Li Sheng Jie previously showed in my blog entry dated 9 June 05.
If you had “faint” upon seeing the above pic, the truth is, I almost “fainted” too.
Can’t believe Ms Tay would actually do such a thing……

Realised that some might not know who Li Sheng Jie is. Li Sheng Jie, or 李圣杰, is a singer from Taiwan. His songs such as 痴心绝对手放开 are hot favs among “k-sters” since last season.

Hmm …. Somewhere in April this year, I am so sick of friends asking me abt my criteria for choosing boyfriend, rushing me to get attached, asking me if I had met someone I am interested in. Then out of the blue, I decided to do something that wasn’t me, and wrote “ I know who I wanna marry! I wanna marry Li Sheng Jie!”. Li Sheng Jie happens to be the “suay one” cos I have been listening to his album since January and like his songs very much. Somehow it actually works, friends just retorted back “ 这么难找!” and left me alone liao. Keke.

Apparently, that outburst of “I wanna marry Li Sheng Jie!” surprised a friend of mine. Cos she has never seen me saying such things before. I am not those 花痴 type. Till now I hadn’t idolize anyone. I don’t think I had even mentioned things such as “他好帅!”,“我爱死他了!” .

既然说了此话,就要继续玩下去。:P So whenever possible, I joked abt how cool Li Sheng Jie is, how I can’t live without his songs, how angry I will get if anyone talk bad abt my “hubby”. Yah, I can play along to this extent.
I must have been soooo engrossed in acting, spoke of Li Sheng Jie too often and people actually thought I am some die-hard fan of him and start to refer me as “Mrs Li.” Haha.

Ok. Now you all know the story behind all this craziness. Keke.
Feel free to comments ya.

*************
& U know what, juz found out that Li Sheng Jie is actually in Singapore now & going to perform at a concert to celebrate the launch of SHINE, a PA Youth Movement group this evening.....

*************
Thoughts as at 11.30pm :

Wow! Feeling very high now. Yes , I did see Li Sheng Jie after all. Haha after the appointment with a friend at orchar, we went own to UOB plaza to try our luck. ( not I am crazy abt him, just wanna to catch him sing "live", cos u know how good he is at "live" co ncert) Concert was supposed to start at 7.30pm,yet even though we arrived ard 8.15 pm, we managed to squeeze into the 2nd row behind the barricade.

Of cos , we were quite a distance away from the stage, as there were VIPs and "privileged ppl" sitting in front.

Li Sheng jie was the second last artiste to perform. Before him there were performaces by Cai Chun Jia, Olinda Choi, Zhang Feng Qi, Stella (who lip-synched for the first 2 songs she performed. Think she was the only one who lip synch....). Taufik performed after Li Sheng jie.

Haha , we also happened to stand at the "correct place", cos ard us, were Li sheng jie's fans. Everyone was so high when Li Sheng jie performed that we joined in waving the lights sticks (provided by the organizers) and cheering.
Really very shiok watching Li Sheng Jie performance. His performance was definitely "live!" lor, for he modified some notes of the songs (cool! Really a 实力派). Hmmm let me recall huh, he started off with with 手放开 ( my fav!) , followed by 亲爱妹妹的眼睛( he mention he prefer this style) , 你们要快乐 and 痴心绝对( the "must sing" song). Wow, think he is the performer who sang the most songs that nite. Keke!

Rather chaotic when he came down to interact with the audience when he sang 你们要快乐 . I was busy trying to take pics of him that i didn't get to shake his hands. Darn, and turn out pics all blocked my ppl hands. Grrhhhhhh. Also, if I have know he's coming, i'll bring along the Maxim magazine which featured him ( fashion column) and get him to autograph.

And u know what? My friend was trying to 刺激 me by describing his handshake (lucky her!). She said that compared to Zhang Feng Qi, who just held out his hand to swipe across those hands that were reaching out, Li Sheng Jie gave everyone a firm hand shake. Quote her " Really a matured man".
* hmmm, trying to make me jealous woh!*

The atmosphere was even "higher" when he sang 痴心绝对. For when he get the audience to sing, u really can hear the audience singing loudly. Those artistes performing before him couldn't reach out to the crowd when they prompt the audience to sing along. Haha. Heard some working adult ( who definately dunno who Li sheng Jie is) remarked "This guy can really sing well". And an auntie, perhaps puzzled by such overwhelming reaction from the crowd, was like poking my friend's arm, asking her "那个男的是谁 huh?".

Anyway, we two were so high after his performance that we behaving like some kee-siao 小妹妹. We went after Li Sheng Jie when he got off the stage and followed him( and the security guards escotting him. Abt 10 wor!) to the van. Haha.... really dunno what makes us do such foolish things at that time.
Anyway, finally gotten a clear pic of him, but of his side view. and here it is.
Yeah, this time, it is not a 'photoshop-edited' pic. =)

11-13 Jun ( 2 days @ MC)

Haha finally can post an entry regarding the past few days.

11 Jun 05 Sat

Sat was fun. Had spend the afternoon at ‘Aunty Chin’ ‘s place. Was invited to her BBQ gathering. So glad to see my ex-colleagues again. J and A (the photographers) pretended that I am someone new, and extended their hands for a handshake and did an introduction of themselves. I played along but couldn’t help laughing.

Saw D, Ah Shui (WN), another Ah Shui (R) , “beach girl” and “tok kio” too.
Was telling them abt the “Mrs Li Sheng Jie” joke and then they told me one thing which made me very “Dui”.

Why?
Cos Li Sheng Jie actually went to their photo studio to do a fashion spread for Maxim Singapore. And that was featured in last issue of the magazine.

Darn!
If I am still working in that company, I might have a chance to take a pic with him, and really can joke abt me knowing him. Haha

( Interrupt: hmm think the “I wanna marry Li Sheng Jie” joke had gotten a bit out of hand. Shall write a “disclaimer” in the next post. Main point is, I am not his die hard fan, nor I wanna marry him. It’s just a joke. But I really like his songs though.)

Keke… anyway, D asked me if I want a copy of Mr 猪杂汤 (They said he look like 猪杂汤 in real person!!!! How can one be described as a dish?!!) . Hmm shall see how he looked like in the fashion spread.

Anyway bbq was fun. Pity that I can’t stay long. They joked abt everything, from lighting the charcoal, to frying like Zhi-char, Alvinn looking like bak-kwa seller, my self-censored way of telling jokes, old bengs snatching for food. And of course, with Aunty Chin as thr host, there is sure to be lots of food. My favourite is her home-made potato salad—nicely mashed and with eggs added. Yummy.

Here r 2 pics of the bbq scene. Can make out the sausages, chicken thigh meat, sotong and prawns?

Next stop: Muchuan. Of cos, went to support the Monsters, who are performing an additional slot on Sat. Out of the usual Monday gang, only me, W and her bf were there.
Really refreshing to see Monsters wearing colours . XM was teased looking like a ba-zhang as she was wearing a green printed top.

Monsters also crack jokes abt “Qu Yuan” hearing their songs as someone had written a few dedication slips without stating the table number. They shared with us a 欠扁问答题 posed by an audience:

一粒粽子掉在地上,请问谁会把它捡起来?

Answer: 沈祥龙。(Sylvester Sim) 因为祥龙拾 Ba-Zhang ( 祥龙十八掌)

Hahaha.

Keke someone was a bit off-form that day, and haha I thought I heard him singing some parts of 远走高飞 wrongly. Keke heard that song so many times on weekdays that I had become very sensitive to any mistakes made.

Keke something funny happened too. Just that when the rest of the Mon-sters were commenting that Ah-du seems a bit fazed that night and the three of us immediately thought of something, at the same time. Wrote a note to him and upon reading it, he was sheepishly laughing and his face turned red. Hmm, shan’t reveal what was in the note for fear that someone might pinch me. Hahaha.

Joined the Monsters for supper at the Orchard Cine Sushi place. Yah the same place where we had enough of their oily-cold ramen and ever-lasting seaweed udon. Well, we learnt our lesson and only ordered sushi and other side dishes instead.

Couldn’t really remember what we talked. But I know we spent quite some time talking abt blood group, zodiac. XM mention she had a 密集 which clearly state the characteristics of people according to their Chinese astrological sign, zodiac and blood type combined. Hmm interesting man.

ML and I made a joke of ourselves too. I sort of mentioned the pseudonym I used when I was in Sec school, when contributing articles to Friday Weekly. ML suddenly exclaimed “原来是你!” After that, Ah du was like holding his cup of green tea to ML, and ML took her cup, toasted him, then turn to me, toasted me in return and joked “久仰,久仰!”.
That left Ah Du very bewildered, and he said that his purpose of holding out the cup to ML, is to asked her to helped him to refill water!
Keke!

Decided to hang ard after the supper. Din went for pool, though it should be the best time for me as XR isn’t there to disturb me. :P Sit ard at Basement before we were chased off by a security guard. Teacher Du left at ard 3am.
In the end the 5 of us went to hang ard at the tables outside the movie theatre.

I dunno which is more surprising: Jh throwing out 5 stones suddenly or to think he carried 5 stones in his bag. (Found out the 5 stones are actually GH’s).

We spent some time figuring out the steps. I cannot recall much as I am not good at playing 5 stones when I was young. ML was leading initially, then slowly JH was progressing well. So xia suey, I was stuck at level one (my butter fingers :P) when he had completed one round. Guy playing better than girls… Playing 5 stones is simply not my cup of tea. I think I am better at “pick up sticks” instead.

Playing 5 stones really make me feel nostalgic abt my childhood days.
Now then I realize, the 5 of us all belong to the 80s (as in growing up in the 80s).

12 Jun 05 Sun

Nothing much to write.
Went to LifeShop, Nova Effects located at Raffles City before heading down to Plaza Singapura to get my craft supplies. Saw lots of new products on sale in the craft shop. The papers are sooooooooo nice, yet so expensive. How I wish I can own the shop :P.

13 Jun 05 Mon

My supervisor returned from her overseas conference & gave us a box of Harrods chocolates each. Note the word *each*.. So generous of her.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

See , how nice the package is. With blue ribbon too! :p
Very tempted to take a bite, but I am in diet leh. :P

Met Siping who was back from her Malaysia camp for dinner. As expected , XR was there. Whoa this gal huh, a few days never see me, the 1st thing she did is to scold me when I called to check out where she was, din even have to chance to tell her I was standing at the other end of the MRT station. Haha in the end, she couldn’t find where exactly I was waiting for her and had to call me again. :P :P What a 见面礼!

Heard different versions of the dreaded song 老鼠爱大米 while we are having dinner . Nope, not Guo Mei Mei’s version, but some auntie singer version. * groan*

Formed Table 47 at Muchuan, for there’s such a big group of us.
Quite like yesterday performance. It’s the first time I ever seen them being so 感性。Like they talked abt marriage—how it means to them.
XM and ML talked abt the topic on best friends liking the same guy.
JH touched abt singlehood. Sort of mention that initially he felt lost when resuming singlehood but after a while , he realized that he has more time to do things he wanna do.
My sentiments exactly. Once the feeling of hurt was over, I start to enjoy the free time I have, taking up new courses, learning new things. Of course I would have pick up more skills if I have more cash to spare. That’s why I ain’t that worried abt remaining single for the past 1.5 yrs though some of my friends seems to worry abt it and rather eager to set me up on dates. Uh duh! * roll eyes*

Speaking of JH, I had “awarded” him my famous, chill-u-to-the-bone glare when he sang my “hubby” song 痴心绝对 wrongly. He had mixed up the lyrics at one point but pretend to 盖过. It is just a joke lah. Earlier in the evening, I had joked with ML that if JH sang Li Sheng Jie’s song with mistakes, I am going to glare at him. Yah I have been listening to his songs everyday and was so familiar with them that my ears pricked when I heard JH sang the wrong lyrics. Saw XR, ML turning to look at me, so I played along, pretending to be angry, glare at him, haha. After JH had finished singing the song, ML told him that “Mrs Lee “ was getting angry as he had sang her hubby’s song wrongly. To that, he even tried to deny, saying “ 有吗?”. Hence awarded him an icy glare for fun, which he caught me doing that.
Guessed that icy glare really scare him. Haha.

Of cos, I kenna scolded by Sips for picking at him, when 我唱歌也好不到哪里去. Yah those were the words she used. Keke seems like someone 心疼 lor. Keke :P :P

Ok ok, think I am too carried away with the “I wanna marry Li Sheng Jie” joke that I instinctively defend Li Sheng Jie , or will mention abt him in the conversations. Haha .

Went for supper with the group after their performance. Can’t stop laughing at XR’s and XM’s impersonation of Thai and Filipino talking.

Whew. What a long entry, before I ended, here’s something to share.
This is what my friend told me over msn messenger:

This is the season for love dun u think?
i found out dat the season, may, june , july, oct, nov & dec .These are actually the time where most ppl get hitched & also ditched
then further research leads me to an astonishing discovery that
this period coincides wif the mating season in the animal kingdom. interesting eh?

4-5 June 05 ( dawning time)

Ok din update my blog for quite some time. News a bit outdated….

4 June 2005 (sat)

Went to Muchuan in the early evening, jammed for a while before we proceed to have dinner at Hong Lim.
Then back to Muchuan to enjoy the performance by XingRong, Ah Du and LinLin . Hmm, they do not have as much 默契 as the Monsters, but can’t be blamed as this is their first time performing as a group.
Well, Sips had planned a celebration for XingRong and Jianhua after the performance end. And halfway through the performance, just as we were abt to get the keys to the washroom, we saw JH sitting at a corner. Upon hearing this guy saying he can only stay for hald an hr, Sips act cute and “tehh” at him, trying to get him stay.
Just then ML , XM and their friend appeared. Told ML what happened and she also “dehh” at him.

Whao, buay tahan them. :P Ahem , sorry lor, I am not those type of girls who “dehh”.

Pardon me for saying this, but I really think JH is a “weird person”. As Sips went back to get him his present, I was stuck with him, so asked him is it because he is having a birthday count down celebration as he have to leave at 11pm. He was like hesitating for a moment, and mumbled something like “yah yah… din really state what time have to reach there.” Yet, later he spent the whole midnight with our group. Perhaps someone had 骂醒他, manage to get him to stay . Hmmm , what happened to “his other group of friends” then? * raise eyebrows*.

I was baffled by the answers the two birthday guys gave when asked to guess what presents I gave the, JH tot his was some cosmetics ( Faint!) while XR tot his was sanitary pad ( cos I wrapped his in bubble wrap, and he said his present is rectangular and soft, hence must be sanitary pad) . Double faint!

Sips came up with some interesting ideas like asking them to blow out only one candle when there are two candles lighted side by side. And she got them to take out the two candles using their mouths. It really looked like they were kissing at that point. Hahaha.

While the rest of us were enjoying our cakes, and sharing 欠扁问答题, sips was smearing cream on XR’s face, and gotten herself “creamed” too. Then she started trying to smear others with cream.

Left the place near midnight and as we walked to catch a bus, we were trying to get Leonard to teach us the MRT announcement in Bahasa Malayu and Tamil. Yeah, this guy can remember the “Please stay away form the yellow line” announcement in 4 different languages!

Ok the bus to Orchard Cineleisure. Played arcade for a short while ( I almost won the round of Daytona until at the last 3 sec, W’s bf car zoomed past) before we proceed to lev 7 to paly pool.

We are are such a bih groups, we divided ourselves into 3 tables. We were like playing pool from 1-4am. Guessed towards the ended, I was half asleep that I missed cue, or didn’t see those balls that are easy to shoot.

Realised that my best game is always the first game. The more I played, the worst I get. Haha. Bet Xingrong had a fun time ka-jiao-ing me. He kept imitating me whenever it was my turn to shoot. I am those easily distracted type, & of cos I missed cue 9 out of 10 times he did that, which cause the rest to laugh.

Haha, very entertaining though.

Played a round with JH for the very first time. Damm stress man, as he is considered to be the best player among the guys. Something strange happen though, our game was rather slow. I kind of expect him to hit quite a few balls into the pocket when it was his turn. There were a lots of cases where he missed or the white ball (cue ball) when into the pocket. And when it was my turn, the white ball also went into the pocket. 很有礼让精神 hor. Someone asked if he had 放水, which I also suspected so. Haha cos I am terrible with aiming.

Then we proceed for our makan. Walked from Orchard to Bugis. Have our “late late super/early breakfast” at the Plaza by the Park Kopitiam at ard 5am in the morning. Saw a lot of transsexual or transvestites there. Didn’t know that was their gathering place too….

I was seated in the middle, faced with a group sharing ghost stories on my left and another group debating the existence of such stories on my right. I as mentally half asleep and din pay attention to what they were saying.

Reached home ar ard 7am. Damm suay, cos usually, my parents are still asleep. But mum was up in the kitchen. Hai ….got scolded by her. What pissed me off are the words she used ---“去给人家骗”. She’s always like that, 事情没问清楚就下定论。

Hmm, nothing much happen on Sunday . As for Monday event’s I’ll post it on my other blog

Excuse me, are you a waitress?

Well, lots of things happened over the past few days, but I will talk abt it at the next post instead. Meanwhile, please enjoy this :

The New Waitress at 木船

Cast:

Ailing: Customer A
Bingrong: Customer B
ChengYao: Customer C (wait a minute, such a coincidence that these three person’s initials are A, B & C respectively)
Shirmaine: Waitress

Cameo: Ah Du (a performer at Muchuan, not that construction worker- turn-Singer Ah Du)

Camera-man (hmm, should Camera-woman): Welly

Setting: At Muchuan café

Scene 1

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It was ard 7.15 pm, 15 minutes before the Mon-sters start their performance. Chengyao, Ailing and Bingrong had requested to be seated at their usual table (TABLE 19). They were served by a waitress who was dressed in white and black. (not the usual dark blue polo tee leh!)

Waitress: 先生,小姐,你们好。这是我们的菜单。

Ailing, Chengyao, Bing Rong: (being regular patrons of Muchuan, they knew that she is a new waitress and all eye at her skeptically)

Waitress proceeds to distribute the drinks menus with a big smile plastered on her face.

Scene 2

Being ardent fans of Mon-sters, they 3 customers quickly grabbed the dedication list and wrote down the songs they wanna hear.
They signaled for a waitress/waiter to pick up their dedication list.
Waitress walks over.
Now, the three customers were 不爽 that it’s her who walked over. Ailing was expecting a 帅帅 waiter to serve her, while Chengyao and Bingrong simply 看她不顺眼

Ailing: (in a very buay-gam-wan tone) 拿! (passed her the dedication slip)

Waitress: (thinking) Aiyoh, why the three of them so young, yet faces all so bin chao chao one. First day at work, yet faced with such difficult customers. Ha…... Jim-kor-mia! Must remember to smile and take the slip using two hands orh.
(took the slip of paper and left the table)

Scene 3

The 3 of them decided to order drinks.

Waitress: (holding a pencil and a notepad) 先生,小姐,请问你们想喝些什么

Bing Rong and Chengyao try to make things difficult for the new waitress by purposely taking a long time to decide on their choice.
Waitress still have that big smile plastered on her face while Ailing glared at her, wondering if her smile will ever fade.

Scene 4

Waitress passed the dedication slip to Ah Du, the keyboardist and singer, who politely thanked her.

Scene 5

The Mon-sters are abt to start their performance, and the lights were dimmed. Waitress light up a tea-light and bring it to the table.

Ailing and Bingrong: (thinking) Sian…. It’s her again….
Chengyao : ( um-chio, thinking of how to finish up both baskets of chips by himself)

Scene 7

The performance is abt to end and waitress came over to clear their glasses.

Waitress: (啊,怎么一次过拿走全部的杯子!我怕怕….)
BingRong: ( heehee, if u drop the glasses, then 我有好戏看啰!)
Chengyao: (so engrossed in looking at Ah-Du, didn’t pay attention to what was happening)

******************

Haha. I guessed only those present will know what’d happened. :P
