When your mother asked you to look at 李圣杰…

Weird!

Oh my god, what was she thinking?

Supposed to post this week ago when I mention abt the pair of new shoes.
Anyway this was the drink I had taken that day with the other two Tai-tais at the Jap restaurant in Plaza Singapura.

Guess what’s the name of the drink?

Monday 25 Sep 2006

What will you do when you returned to your room, and saw you received an sms from a friend which says:

“Bloody Shit”

I replied :

“ Yeah , sucks”

Any 3rd party might thought we were having a heated exchanged over the phone.

Anyway, that was sort of an arrangement. I had asked my friend to sms me the results of Singapore Idol if I did not manage to persuade my parents to give up watching Channel 8. (in fact mum was like ngiam~ing me again, to find one bf so that I can watch TV at his home. Duh!)

As I had mentioned, most of my friends preferred Jonathan. So I know what my friend referred to when I saw the sms. Especially when it was sent at 9.21pm.

Oh Dr Lowem, if u are reading this, just to let you know, I had used half of the vouchers liao. Hahaha

Think Tiger is going to be pissed off by end of this week cos I won’t be having dinner for 3 out of 5 weekdays. Need to catch up with my friends.

Going to attend a friend’s ROM next Friday and a colleague’s wedding on next Sunday.

2 different types of Bombs!!!!

Singapore Idol, Chasing Cars

Managed to watch Singapore Idols Finals last night.

Such a coincidence that a friend of mine was asking me abt Chasing Cars on Fri and Jonathan sang it again last night

For those who are searching for the lyrics, here you go (but I’m not sure if the song is out on KBox or Party World yet)

Artist: Snow Patrol
Album: Eyes Open (2006)
Song: Chasing Cars
Country: Ireland

Chasing Cars

We'll do it all Everything On our own
We don't need Anything Or anyone

If I lay here If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lie here
Would you lay with me
and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here If I just lay here
Would you lay with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here If I just lay here
Would you lay with me and just forget the world?

Saw Today review on last night show. Obviously the writer is very bias.

I remember for the last season of Sg Idol, my “SPH Gang” betted on the results. I chose Taufik and earned $1.70 hahaha. Wonder if these ex-colleagues of mine are placing bets again this round.

Met up with my ex-poly friends yesterday noon. We were on the topic of Sg Idol and to my surprise, one of them even asked if we should vote this time to show our support. Well, it’s surprise cos it’s not something I ‘d expect my friends of “this age” to do something like that.

Among my friends, think so far I only know that Mrs Wang is rooting for Hady. :P

Was telling jiejie that 我又搞怪了,又乱 改歌词。

就凭一位同事所说的“last time I see you smiling, so sweet. Now I seldom see you smile.”

For your info, the original lyric for that verse is:

笑容没了 距离有了 快乐也走了
还是真心死了彼此不信任了
终於懂了 真的

Almost wanna continue with the chorus but I think I better not 糟蹋his song.

Spent more than an hour last night making the above necklace (or rather, part of a necklace). My first attempt using the “hooks technique”.

Didn’t have any instructions sheets or art book to refer to. Months ago, saw that the “necklace making craze” was catching up on some of my friends and had asked Flutterby regarding how these necklaces were hooked together. It seems simple when she explained all you need to buy the hooks, a pliers and a wire cutter (and of cos beads lah), and how nicely the hooks were connected will have to depend on yr 功夫liao.

Had bought the golden beads and hooks some weeks ago. The silver beads were originally from the bracelet I wore on Superstar Gathering (the elastic band that connect the beads had snapped). As for the pink beads, I had bought them on the spur of the moment when I was sourcing for other stuff at the craft shop yesterday evening.

Thinking that I had sufficient beads to start with, and as I need some time alone, I decided to try making a necklace last night. However later do I realize that I do not have sufficient beads to make into a long chain necklace.

So now, I am fretting over the options I have:

1) hook them up into a shorter necklace
2) buy ribbons and clasps to tie them two ends together
3) buy smaller pearl beads

You treated us like pawns,

Yes I despised you.

I despised you for pretending to be open-minded. Pretending to let us have our own say. Yet after we had spend considerable effort , time on the work, then you rejected our idea and make us do things according to your way.

I despised you for arrowing people behind their backs, then pretend to ask them if they can make it when you had already attached the email showing you had already confirmed with the other party “on our behalves”.

If I let my rage taken over, I would have replied “Since you had replied, can I say NO?”

high heels

Whoa, I broke my record liao. Bought the highest heels ever had in my life.
din expect the heels to be so high until I measured it today. A whooping 8cm tall. (I’m actually wearing t hem now and hence standing at 1.67m tall. Shiok!)

Anyway, Flutterby and Mrs Jin-cheng, if u are reading this, I am referring to the pair of black heels you helped to choose on Sat.

I was wearing a new pair of flat pumps on Sat, but as they were not “seasoned’, they gave me blisters and it hurt so much that I was wincing at every step I took. And since Charles & Keith was having a sale, so decided to went in to take a look. (actually had passed by X;odos, BATA, DMK but couldn’t find any shoes to my liking or matches my dress).

Finally, my body gave way.

Guess due to the stress at work, my body was weak and that I suddenly caught a cold when at work on Tue noon.

New supervisor 's really demanding. Shall whine more abt him another day.

After working under him for more than 2 weeks, we can see that when he dissaprove or disagree with something, he will not say it directly, but make a big detour in order to make himself "look good".

Take what happened yesterday (Wed) for example. Seeing that my cold had worsen, I had to write to him to seek permission to see doc in the afternoon at 2pm. I even stated that I will be in office during lunch hrs as my group was covering lunch duties.
Under my prev sups, we need not even ask permission to see doc. Can simply just "pack up and go".

Yet he replied in a nice way (with hidden meanings) that : Ok I may go. And do remember to pass to him those urgent matters when I get back from the doc.

Kaoz, meaning he knew for my case I'll sure "tio" MC yet I can't bring my bag along to see the doc. I have to see the doc, come back to the office to report to him before I can go on my medical leave.

Kaoz. I din even want to reply to his email after that. And later he walked by, (pretending to walk past casually) then stop to ask me if there is any important things to follow up. (which I told him I had done all the neccessary in the morning). (of cos i had make sure i had completed my work before I ask to see a doc, for I could have simply not turn up for work in the morning) And walked back.

Even my colleague could see he was just checking on me on pretense to walk past.

Now, the irony is that during lunch hour, I din see him walking passed. Think he purposely took a dif route to avoid my workstation. and my former 2 supervisors actually asked me why I was still in the office and urged me to see a doc.

And how strange it was that minutes after I left office, the runnynose isn't that "jialat" anymore.

Anyway, seems like I need lots of rest. Doc actually said it will took me at least 3 days to recover and given me 1.5 days MC (o.5 for the remaining day and another day more).

With that I sms my colleague regarding my medical leave and went home.

Yes I took my bag along to the doc and did not report back to the office.

Retaliation...

What An August!

Am actually blogging this at home on weekends. (boh pian really cant spare any time on weekdays). New “boss” (I mean my immediate supervisor) IS A TERROR. I was working almost 10-hours last week.

Like what I had told my friends “忙有分为两种。一种是忙得很愉快,另一种是忙到喘不过气。” For the past week, I had been experiencing the latter, and expect to the condition to last for months.

Shall whine ant my work situation another day. Now looking back at te better times.

From 12-20 Aug, I had been busy, but feeling really 幸福then. Shall elaborate more at my more private blog.

Had been receiving presents almost every day of that week. The irony is that, yet I received not even a word of “happy birthday “ from my family.

12 Aug: It really surprised me that some of my friends do read my blog. I had received
$80 worth of Seiyu vouchers, $30 worth of scrapbooking vouchers, then vouchers from Art Friend, Body Shop, bags (just what I need) – Guess bag (my 1st branded goods), purple bag, furry bag, socks, Merci chocolates, 4 necklaces (a gold necklace, a black beaded necklace with butterfly and rose brooch, a pink beaded necklace, a butterfly pendant on a chain ), a pair of earrings, a necklace and earrings set, Hello Kitty Purple Hp accessory, a cute doll ornament , lily bouquet and cards (did I missed out anyone’s gift)

By now, I had spent all of scrapbooking vouchers just on papers and transfers and part on the Seiyu vouchers on a yellow small bag. See pic below:

14 Aug: Went 3 places in the evening after work. But no complaints abt them. Hahaha.

16 Aug: Thanks to Sally and Jessica from came to Singapore for a visit, I received
pineapple tarts from JQ in Taiwan. Not only that , I was given 2 posters to lao-nua at. Hahaha.
Also, as mentioned in my previous post, the chance to interview Shengjie was one of a best present received from Heaven.

17 Aug : As you see in the pic above, it include Choz chocolates from Jessica& Sally, and a special CD which Sindra had bought during her trip to Taiwan in late July.

And later in the evening, I had gotten something really specially, thanks to the 2 S (yeah, Sindra and Sam). Cos not only I had a very nicely autographed copy of Li Sheng Jie’s album, but also the phrase“生日快乐”written by him.

Bet you’ll are interested to see the pic of the album, and thanks to Fannie, she had managed to capture it well on her camera (my digicam din manage to capture it well)

18 Aug: Returned to office after enjoying a birthday day off. Saw that on my desk were a necklace, name plate and card from my colleagues. Then I was told that the ACE was looking for me. ACE was the 1st supervisor when I had joined the organization I am currently working. She was really generous to give me a box of Sins chocolates as shown in the pic above. Never had I tasted so many premium chocolates in my life. Of cos, I am afraid of getting fat, so shared my chocolates with friends, brother & mum.

Later in the evening, Mrs Jin-cheng passed me my birthday present. Another polar bear –Aurora. Even though I already had one, I dun mind having another. Hahaha. Now my Aurora got another partner.

19- 20 Aug : refer to my private blog ( but first , I need to update it someday) . What ever happened were unexpected, but I couldn’t help feeling very 荣幸&幸福。

And before “师姐们”left for Taiwan, they presented me this really cute fan.

Was talking with Qium on msn a week ago, and she mentioned that she was glad that I had got the chance to interview for 我报, as she said, my life seems to have lots of “downs”, it’s nice to have an “up” in my life.

Right now, I guessed it’s back to “down” again, but partly the reason for writing this piece is to remind myself that life is like a roller coaster. What I had experienced in that week of Aug , I should be glad that at least there’s an “up” this year. Not to mention the great friends I have.

Aiyah, now I dunno how to end this post.

Ok, must go to sleep liao.
