my 3 "first time". 我的三个"第一次"
Today office rather happening.....
First Time traveling in a van
During Lunch hour, a whole gang of colleagues suggested going to Little India to have Thosai. as we (9 of us) were the last batch to leave the office, another colleague, a female volunteered to give us a lift on her Van. (woah). Big Van leh.
Guess the other drivers on the road find it unusual to see all gals sitting in a van and somemore the van was driven by a female, that some of them even tailgate us to take a closer look.
Damn those chee koh peks.
No wonder one of my colleagues was joking if the other drivers were thinking if we are driven off "for sale".

My First Thosai
After living in the multi-racial society for more than 2 decade, this is the first time I ever step into Tekka market & have my first Thosai.
Had eaten prata before, but not Thosai.
Went to this nice air-condition Ananda Bhavan ( might be wrong spelling) Thosai restaurant in Tekka Market.
My colleagues had to explain to me what type of Masala Thosai they have and helped me to take my orders.*so Paiseh*.
Thosai was rather nice, even though I ate it plain without dipping it into the curry and the spicy sauce it comes with. Me, unable to take spicy stuff, was already feeling rather hot from the potata fillings inside the thosai.
and some colleagues still remember how my face turn so red at a farewell lunch at Dempsey for an ex-colleague last month.
" You still can remember huh? I thought I never complained" I asked
"Yah. cos yr face very red, & u are the only one who had ordered a cup of hot milk."
Morale of the story: Dun think u can escape even though u remain silent.

My First Treading Experience
After lunch, a few colleagues were going to do threading in one of those shophouses, as in using thread to pluck off the fine hairs on yr face or to trim the eyebrows.
Being curious, the rest of us also go up to "look look see see", and ended up also doing it. Most of us trimed off the "small mustache" above our lips
I had asked the lady to pluck off the fine hair on my forehead and the area above upper lips. She warned that cos by baby hair on my forehead was too long at the right side, it would be very very painful and I can just leave it. Hence she only charged me $3 for the removal of hairs on above the upper lips even though she did remove the hairs on the forehead.
Had to admit it was a bit painful, just like when u go for eyebrow trimming at beauty counters/saloon.
$3 for the threading is rather worth it, cos i know some modern beauty saloon are offer threading for $30-$60.
