Click on the URL. (Thanks to Suki from Taiwan for sharing this)

http://suki.myweb.hinet.net/sam.wmv

The ad's quite cool hor?

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Tried the face analysis at a website. So was playing using different pictures and I doubt the accuracy of the results due to the different analysis generated.

This is the analysis I got using a pic taken 5 yrs ago.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hmm , it says that I am 100 % Chinese. Yah, should be very accurate as my grandparents all came from Hainan Island, China.

Then I submit a recent photo. It's really the latest photo I had, taken 2 weeks ago. See what's the analysis?

Now I have Korean/Japanese features! Wooo, I didn't know that as I aged, I'll be looking more like a Japanese or Korean. Hahaha.

Masked and Ice Maiden strikes

Two things happened in office today:

Incident 1: Masked!

Yes, that's a pic of me , wearing a mask at work. Tried to give my famous " icy glare" , but dun think it is fierce enough.
Nope, I dun have any SARS symptoms .
Should I phrase it as it was an act of mischief?

The story goes like this: Remember that horrible auntie subordinate I had mentioned abt? She have been coughing and sneezing without covering her mouth for these few days. Yet refusing to see a doc. How strange is it that she will see a doc and got MC whenever we told her that we need her to help out with something on the following day.

Anyway it seems that her germs are everywhere in the office, for quite a number of colleagues seems to gotten the bug and down with cough and flu. Scary man.

Last evening, my partner and I had talked abt wearing masks to hint that we are fed up with her inconsiderate behaviour. She had been coughing and sneezing very loudly, yet she blame it on the cold air-con.
Excuse me, she had already asked the Maintenence to turn the air blowing away from her, making us feeling so stuffy, If she is cold, why did she insist on wearing sleeveless everyday?

Since we both are "on" abt wearing masks, we decided to see if this tactic works

This morning, we were waiting to see if she had heed our advice to see a doc yet she reported to work though there isn't much work for her to do this week. Moments after we heard her coughing, we put on the masks.

The temp. gal had a good laugh seeing us with masks. And my partner said I look more like a nurse than her.

As for the auntie, she pretended not to see us wearing masks, avoiding eyet contact when she need to talk to us.....
Hmm, was she thinking that we are sick and she is actually afraid to catch the bug from us???

Incident 2: Ice-maiden strikes!

Tuned to my "ice maiden mode" today to some irritating guy. Yes Ms Tay, if u are reading this and was thinking if he is the irritating Project Executive from the office's renovation contractor I had mentioned to you abt, yes he is the one.

He had already made me made annoyed by asking abt my age, my job, my status when I was working OT weeks ago. Somemore he is not my colleague, there is no need for me to interact with him to this level. At most, I only need to convey message from him to the directors when the auntie colleague is not ard. There is no need to know me to such a personal level.

I thought I had make it very obvious to him that I dun like to talk him unnecessarily by avoiding eye contact and putting on an "icy" look whenever I had to answer to his questions. Until last week, this insensitive guy commented to my partner that " 她很 serious 的, hor?" while smiling at me.

Groan! Can't he differentiate the "I dun wanna be disturbed" look with the "I am serious" look???

Ok, I admit I was rather bad to him this morning. This was what happened:

My partner and I have to show him which are the four pedestrals to be replaced in the new wing as they can be opened using the same key. While walking back, I was expressionless and you can't expect me to entertain him right?

As I walked away from them, I heard my partner laughing at my reply.

Later in the morning, my partner "betrayed" me by telling him where I was sitting when he couldn't find me at my desk.
I was working from another cubicle at the far end of the office, as I need to use the scanning machine.
Obviously he saw that I was busy yet he asked:
"我可以有这个荣幸请你吃饭吗?" And went on saying abt thanking me for the help rendered.

Help? When did I ever help him. The person he always liase with from our company is the anutie colleague and he should be treating her instead. I only helped to measured something once as that auntie was not around.

"我都没有帮到什么。”我回答。

Forgot whatdid he said but my next reply was

"我不能出去吃,我得帮J 打包。” J is my partner, and her leg is still on braces. And it is true that I have been buying ours lunches and eating in office.

“这样啊。那你在哪里吃?” Darn. He still continue to ask despite me not looking at him.

“Office 的哪里。 Pantry?”

“Cubicle". I replied curtly

Then heard him mumbled something “总不能叫我在你的cubicle吃。”

Siao, I din even say he can join us for lunch lor

“我们就是喜欢在我们的 cubicle 吃。” I replied. Yeah yeah, that is rather rude, I know. But bo pian, I am doing work and hate to be disturbed.

Saw his exasperated look before he walk away. Keke. Then later caught him mentioning abt "banged into wall liao" to my partner. Before he left the office, he still dare to say that 他没那个荣幸请到我吃饭。 Grrrrh.

"What he came to ask u har?" My partner asked, and I saw the twinkle in her eyes.

Stupid woman, betrayed me....

Then she purposely ka-jiao me, said that "U very bad, ppl date u, U reject him. He came to ask me where are u leh."

Scolded her with a "You siao arh. Don't anyhow say."

Then it was back to serious talk. We are not the sort who like to receive treats from others. Whatever I had done to help was part of the job. Besides, if he really meant to treat, he should be treating the auntie colleague who was the liasing person between the renovation contractor and the director.

But the main point is: I dun like to lunch with people I am not familiar or comfortable with. I rather be considered "cold" or "rude" than forcing myself to such ordeal.

Oldies Time

It seems that the office music theme for this week is 80,90 年代歌曲。

My partner, who is just 3 ys older than me started off by downloading and playing 王杰 songs, such as 她的背影,你是我胸口永远的痛。
That prompt me to search for 原来的我 by 齐秦.

Today, she was listing to 张信哲 oldies such as 过火, while I downloaded 情难枕 by 林慧萍。

Guess what? The local mandarin pop station FM933 seems to be in a nostagic mood too, as I heard 冷咖啡 by 李杰(就是李圣杰啦), being aired in the afternoon. Hey that song is 6 years old leh. Think this is the first time I ever hear it being play on the radio station.

I am listening to 李圣杰 lastest album as I am writng this, and was just scolded by my colleague.
"Why are you listening to these? 现在是要听怀旧歌曲!”

*sheepish grin*

zpop on 23 July 05

Sat 23 July 05

Was at Suntec Convention Hall from afternoon to nite as went there to help out with the ZPop 2005. Meager allowance for that job, but no complains though. Can get to watch the concert for free, and get to sit at the area allocated for the photographers during Lin JunJie's segment.

Was in charge of ushering the guests from media and handing out lightsticks and other freebies at the entrance. Everyone was supposed to have one lightstick each, but there were a group of aunties who want to do a 六色彩虹 on their necks and wrist. Apparently, they helped themselves to the red, orange, yellow, blue, green and purple lightsticks from the table.....

Then there were this group of girls in pink, who were blacklisted us. They took a lightsticks each, then hid it, and came back several times for more. So young, yet so kiasu and greedy.

Then there was this guy who came in quite late, saw the lightsticks on our tables, whipped out his wallet and asked how much it cost. Then, it dawned on me that the organisers should sell the lightsticks instead. Since the amount from the tickets solds will be donated to the President Star Charity Fund, why not do the same with the lightsticks? Not only it will discourage people from taking more than necessary, it also means more money collected for the needy. Kill two birds with one stone leh

Frankly speaking , I wasn't feeling really excited when sitting at the photographers area, despite being so close to the stage. Perhaps the whole experience was marred by this unreasonable Cisco offical who seems to be 不爽 with us for getting this special priviledge. And on the stage performing was Sip's hubby, not "my hubby" mah. *faint*

Despite a stellar cast, I guess the only performer who can bring the house down is none other than A*Mei. Everyone was cheering, dancing, jumping as she performs. Yeah, we have a good laugh seeing how "high" CY was during A*Mei performance. Good exercise for everyone. :P

Ok time for pics. Pics not sharp though.

Article from Taiwan 联合报, 17Jul

Ok, dun faint. This is something interesting. I may be one of those few Singaporeans who have these info. Haha ! I had received the text file of the story early last week, but my friend taken taken time to scan and send me the pics. Hence, I am sharing with you these interesting facts abt 李圣杰 on my blog.

Before you read the article, here is some background info regarding his song 《

Ok, Here's the news articles, with cute cute pics attached. (Pardon me for the ugly credits on each pic as I am left with only Paint programme on this laptop I am using)

really belated post

Suppose to write this earlier on this week, but didn't have time to. Yah, yah I admit that when I had some time to spare, I post the entries abt Mr Li instead. Haha.
As the news are very outdate, I had decide to 长华短说.

14 July 2005

(read what happened at my other blog. I had posted the entry a few days ago)

15 July 2005

Met up with my ex-colleagues and friends after work. Had planned to "make use" of the Maxim Readers Party to celebrate Nana's birthday (a day belated). I was surprised that Nana was surprised to see me, cos quite a few friends knew I was joining them. So my presence was a surprise present for her. ( haha, love playing ard with the words.) Had our dinner at a Japanese restaurant before we proceed to Gotham Penthouse for the party.

Maybe becos we came in late, and the activities were over, so the party seems boring. We just grab some free drinks and food, get Nana to cut cake, and left the place at ard 10pm. Yeah~ that early.

Had uploaded two pics taken by some photographer from nightlife.sg on my other blog.

16 July 2005

Meet up with a friend for lunch and then accompanied her to view the Rhythm of Youth performances at Bugis Junction.

Anyway here are the pics taken at the event.

This little girl is from thr group AZ Dancers (Hip Hop dance). She is the youngest performer, and she is so cute with her sexy dance moves.

Dancers from Sensational, performing a Chinese Contemporary Dance

This is rather interesting. These two brothers looked like pure Chinese, but their Dad is an Indian while their mum is a Chinese. Guess it was their dad who taught them to play with sitar(the string instrument) and Danbla (the drums)

These guys in elaborate costumes performed Street dance and hip Hop dance (Think they are call The Whimsical Family, hope I am not wrong abt that)

17 July 2005

Afternoon's event was updated on my other blog.

Went to Muchuan to support the Students Performance in the evening. Haha by now, you all must have read abt what happened from my friends' blogs. So I dun need to mention abt it.

18 July 2005

Went down to muchuan again, to support the Monsters.
XM is so sweet, packed the foodstuff and keychains she brought from her Malacca trip into nice little packs and distribute to us. And Sips was like enquiring if the keychain that Ximei had given me had my real name or "Mrs Lee" inscribed on it. ~ dotzs.....~

Went for supper after their performance. We were all having laughing fits due to Esther's entertaining questions and answers. I laughed until tears dripped down from my eyes and my stomach was aching. Think I really laughed until kee-siao liao.
:P

So lucky!

Went to CD-Rama last nite, with the intention to buy
But didn't seems to find any on the VCD racks. All sold out.... :(

Was about to leave the store, but then, decided to try searching for it at the CDs corner. Didn't manage to find the VCD but then saw something which caught me by surprise

Yes! It's his first album 《冷咖啡》 , which was released 6 years ago (1999) .
I was just talking to JQ, a Taiwan friend in the afternoon that I couldn't find 李圣杰 previous 2 albums in Singapore. It is difficult to get them as his previous recording companies were folded down years ago. This 《冷咖啡》 album which I saw is released by his present company - Rock Records, who must have bought over the copyrights . Notice the wordings on the strip of paper on the left? At the corner, there are these words "绝版重现".

Here's a pic of the original album.

Noticed that here, his name was written as 李杰?Cos that was the 艺名 he used when he released his first album.

Anyway, my Taiwan friend was telling me in the afternoon that at her country's e-auction sites, people are bidding as high as 2600 Taiwan dollars to get a copy of the original album. That is abt S$130 lor! Gosh, and I got my copy (also consider"original") at only $18.90. Haha.

Was flipping though the lyrics booklets and came across a pic which almost made me gasped “帅!帅!帅!”

What a nice "mood shot". His image 6 years ago was so different from his present image. keke.

Noticed my friend’s nick is “clownette”. I can’t associate myself with clowns as clowns made people laugh with their sad-looking faces, but I don’t.

Dun want to look sad in front of others, as I dun wish to make them feel depressed too. Everyone have his/her problems and I dun want to plague them with mine.

I pretend to be kee-siao, focus my energy on the “It’s so S Project” instead, so that I won’t think too much.

I dislike her for making that decision, yet she put it in a way that it was another person who made it. Whatever she did, it is for her own benefit. She never considers our feelings, just because we are kids and we have to listen to her.

Does she ever understand that some things are priceless, and money isn’t everything?

Speaking of the “It’s so S Project”, some may wonder why I spent so much of effort & resources on it. Due to what I have been through, I cherish whatever I have now. This is the first time and the last time that I am doing such a great scale project,

Warning. This is gonna be a rather 花痴, bimbotic post. So if u can't stand my incessant rambling abt 李圣杰 , please exit from this page.

Whoever had tried asking me on my criterias when choosing a boyfriend will get this "purposely choosey" reply:

1) Height must be ard 1.75m ( that is the most compatible height I had found out)
2) Must have a good voice (dun u think it's nice to get someone who serenade to u )
3) Must be mature and manly
4) Must know how to play piano. (i think pianists are more appealing than guitarists)

Anyway, these are what i mentioned casually. Judging from my revious relationships, I dun think the two guys fit into all the criterias mentioned. Haha. Purposely say that to stop my friends from having any ideas to matchmake me.

It is only recently that I mentioned I want someone like Li Sheng Jie as he almost fit into all the criteria mentioned.

Heard a music clip of him performing the song 新不了情 "Live: on his radio program.

My jaws really dropped when I heard him sang. The song was originally sang by Wan Fang. Not even all the gals can sing this song well ( yah i can't even hit the hit notes) . Yet he manage to narrate the song so well, 很有 gam-gor 喔.

Anyone having doubts abt him singing that song can request the music clip from me.

2-4 July 2005

Hmmm, have been sleeping at 2am and waking up at ard 6am these few days. Guess that’s why I am so “blurr” these few days.

Caused a few jokes due too. Take what happened minutes ago for example. I sms-ed the other parties, informing them abt the name of the cafe, but didn’t state the branch when I thought I did.

Ok. Get back to the main point. Reason I have been waking up early during the weekend was because I need to reach Pasir Ris before 8am. Quite a distance from my home. Helped out with the UGC event . Din expected that it was such an easy task. So relax to the stage that we were feeling sian as we got nothing to do. Not used to be getting paid for sitting there and zuo-boh most of the time. Spent our free time singing, talking and snacking. BR and I almost made Sips crazy by singing 手放开 at different times of the day.

Found out from CY that he did heard of 李杰 years ago when he was still in Taiwan. Well, if u dunno, 李圣杰 used李杰 as his 艺名 when he first came into the industry. 李圣杰 definitely sounds better rite.

Ok, something happened on Sunday evening which I will write abt it on my other blog. Yeah, though I manage to get a passing grade but still didn’t feel I totally deserved it.

Rushed out the invitation cards on Sunday nite til 2am in the morning. The cards are really “my style”, but I pity the guys who receive them, cos they (the cards) are too girly. :P

Went to MC to support the Monsters as they will not be singing nex week. It was their most entertaining performance I ever seen. Though they were not pitch-perfect in all of the songs they performed, by their jokes and bantering really made up for it. XM turned out to be the “suaning-victim” of the nite, ended up threatening to whack, electrocute and strangle JH with her mic. JH seemed to had taken the wrong medicine (or perhaps too much chili), as he was like really kee-siao. The worst part is when he blurted out a very “色” version of 脱掉.
Guys are so色!

Grrh, was rather paiseh ML openly announced that there is an unofficial Mrs Li Sheng Jie among the crowd. Then she went on to talk abt the rumour between Celest and Li Sheng Jie ( by the way, Li Sheng Jie’s fans ‘ response to this rumour is “他终于传除绯闻了!” Haha ). Then Jh asked me from the stage if I wanna go for NoNo instead. (diangz…….. ) Dun understand the link between Sheng Jie and NoNo? But really din expect the monsters to openly joke abt me and Li Sheng Jie. Hmm their revenge on my incessant rambling abt him????

Anyway , heard 2 1/23 李圣杰 songs that day. the 1/23 was due to a verse which appear in 刺激2005. The other 2 songs were 痴心绝对 & 手放开. Normally , they dun sing more than one song from the same singer. keke . Perhaps things are different when it comes to Li Sheng Jie. He is so popular now that ppl always dedicate his song. But caught Jh made mistakes again. *dotz*

Think everyone mood was quite high. They were still in a good mood off stage and during supper. I almost made ML strangle me when I said I'll call "my hubby " to consult him what I shall have for supper.
End up almost vomit when someone asked if I was getting married when I mentioned this yr might be my last year holding the Aug gathering. Getting married! Where did they get the idea from?? Later then realised they were refering to the joke abt Li Sheng Jie.

Well, at least my Monday blues were gone.

keke

Have not been writing a proper post these few days, and this is gonna be a very rushed posting.

Why?
Cos I had been busy at work. On top of my regular duties, I also have to take care of travel arrangements, training course arrangements and the logistic matters of the organization big launch in Aug. There's a shortage of manpower as my partner is still on hospitalisation leave and the other old woman simply bo chap abt the work and practises her policy of "I do only what was stated in my job description list". Well, people have eyes, and so far, someone had notice that she didn't help out. *shrugs*

Overall, the workload is still managable. Thanks to the "training" I had received in my previous company. If I had managed coordinating 7 magazines and handling admin matters, I can still manage my workload now.

Just happened to check my email before I left the office yesterday. And one mail really brightened my day. Keke. Cannot tell u what I received, cos the sender stated that what she sent me are from her private collection. Make yr guess lor. Haha.

* still um-chio~ing* keke
