The weighty issue
Guess what? Almost all the girls from my department had decided to lose weight and had started dieting today.
Actually not all of them are fat. There is one who is not fat as in the roly-poly size. She is like of L size but curvy and proportionate. While the rest are slim, but they complain that they got tummies, fat arms, so they want to lose weight. Target --- to lose 5kg in a month.
Can you believe it?
One who had stopped taking Extrim pills, was drinking this Cambridge Diet (which taste yucky) while the rest were munching on our burgers at Mos Burger during lunch time. Another two had started on this “fish & no red meat” diet (so they could only eat fish burger at Mos), then later decided to change to “no carbo(hydrate)” diet, which means they are not going to take rice, noodles , bread or other starchy stuff like potatoes. Others cut back on their food intake. So seems like from tomorrow onwards, we can only go to canteens which have stalls serving fruits and vegetables.
Basically, I guess this is like “peer pressure”. Once a person from yr gang determined to lose weight, you also feel that you might become fatter while she become thinner, so you also want to lose weight, no matter how slim you already are.
Like what they say: “Ask a slim lady whether is she satisfied with her weight, she will always tells you ‘I hope to lose a few more kilos’. “
One point to note, I was flipping through this Melbourne Wedding Magazine last Sat, and notice that the models are curvier, (but not fat). Compared to them, the Singaporean models featured in our local magazine are having “stick-like arms”.
So, blame it on the media for featuring skinny girls, and the ever-popping sliming centers or sliming pills advertisements?
Or blame it on guys….:P

Arms and shoulders still painful from Sunday hip hop. Dunno why always experience muscleaches on Mondays after a nite sleep.
