Events
ok, din write for the past few days. Rushing it now, so not going to organize the events in chronological order.
ok. Really empathise with my colleague as she had her car bumped into again for the third time in two weeks when we were going out for lunch yesterday. All these times, it's not her fault. As she said, though she need not need to worry abt the payment, but 3 times over 2 weeks kenna knocked and having to go back to her mechanic is very 'sian". Somemore over her ten years of driving, she wasn't involve in any accidents until recently....
What happened yesterday was she drove us (3 other colleagues and I were in passenger seats) out for lunch as she gotten her car back from the mechanic. And as she's waiting to turn out of our office, the car jolted and a loud bang was heard. The lady driver of that SDZ license plateToyota bumped into us cos she wasn't looking. She got out of the car, looking very fierce, until we, the passengers all get out to have a look. Then she examine both cars and then admit she wasn't looking. She said," my husband is going to scold me. We settle it between ourselves. You send me the invoice. Don't report to police arh." She stressed not to make report more than once...
but one thing interesting, my colleague car, though old, a small Subaru with a license plate starting with 'SBT", was knocked in the "butt" by this new made in Thailand Toyota (license plate starting with SDZ), yet, her bumper only suffered a few scratches, the right tail light was smashed, but the other lady's car was in worse shape. The metal part just below the headlight was so dented in. Now, that left us wondering, has the quality of Toyota gone down after it relocate its factory to Thailand, or old cars were made of better, stronger materials.
Was updated by my colleague this afternoon, she had to resort to make a police report cos this woman (who holds a managerial position) didn't keep her promise and refused to pay the amount. My colleague had told her that the cost $280 after checking with her mechanic and after confirming with the lady on the 'settlement' this morning.
Sigh...........
*****************
I caught this movie "Honey" with my colleague yesterday, after work.
Nevermind the local critics give it a C rating, but I guessed it's because the storyline is so-so. but the dance steps shown were cool. Especially at the last part of the movie where all the kids and teenagers dance at a fund-raising performance made us so high that we feel like giving a standing ovation. haha.
Maybe escribing it as "Cool" is an understatement, should describe those dance steps as "fantastic", "awesome"....
For hip hop learners like us, we noticed some of the dance steps shown in the movie were also taught by our dance instructors. The kids in the movie danced so well, that we feel rather ashamed of ourselves.
But it really left us inspired......
maybe for a couple of days only lah! ;)
