However, there is a story behind. "Wong"was chosen because of family's history with the surname. As for "Harmonie", it's because of a numerology pairing with "Wong". You can read more abt it in my 1st entry. I know that the online world is not 100% secure, so won't be revealing too much. & my dear friends, rest assured that I'll not be mentioning yr real life names in this blog.]

"Dim Sum"

As mentioned in my previous blog, i shall now explain abt the nicknames.

Well, it just happen that one day, my close colleagues and i were out having dim sum for lunch, and were talking abt the problems we faced. Suddenly looking at the dim sum, i recalled that one day, snacking in our office, DJG mentioned that she like "Lian Yong bao" (lotus paste bun), and said "I'll be lian yong bao". Dunno why RebW compared me to "char siew so" ( he rectangular char siew pastry) as they said I am thin. Then i mentioned that RebW should be nickname as "chee chong fun" cos she's also very thin. But she prefers to call herself as "the long raisin twist".

so we looked at the dim sum and decided to nickname ourselves and some colleages using the names of dimsum.

CCP wanna be "har gao" (虾饺/ prawn dumplings) cos she liked to eat them and she's rather round like them.

WN initially want to be 水晶包 ( crystal bun) but change her mind later when we told her that crystal buns are clear on the outside, but dark on the inside. Then she nicknamed herself "egg tart".

They still refer me as "char siew so" and DJB as "lian yong bao".

As we talked abt the backstabber, curry-favouring freelancer writer, we decided to refer her as "Century egg". Dunno who described it so well as: century egg are "black" (as in black hearted) on the inside and outside and being soak with urine during preservation.

hahaha, that's a good one. Henceforth, these are our codes if we ever want to mention them when others colleagues are standing near us.
