Ok, in case you cant see the chinese words, it actually means "when the tiger meets the lion", which was the theme of the malaysian camp.
However, the main theme was actually a movie theme, as the different groups were name after popular movies, and instead of the usual the campfire night, it was actually a 'oscar award' ceremony, to give out prizes to the best leading actor/ actress, best supporting actor/actress for the performance they put up on the 2nd day of camp.
Hmm had to find a way to group the anedotes.
1) Corruption
yah. I'm am not afraid to say it. One the way to the campsite, we had encountered with the corrupted Malaysian customs officers who taxed us on the T-shirts we had brought along to for exchange (with the Malaysian students reporters). If it's really government tax, why is it that they could give us a discount of 10 ringgit when asked if they could charge us cheaper?
2) Bubble Gum
Thanks to the long coast ride, I had finally learnt the skill of blowing bubble gum. Yes at the first stopover, the first thing I rushed to buy was bubble gum.
Typical Singaporean right?
as expected, we were welcome by the malaysian student reporters (or 学记) cheers-- 爱的鼓励.
and it goes like this
ai~ de gu li
(clap clap clapclapclap clapclapclapclapclapclap).
though we had learnt a few more versions a few years ago, such as 爱的伍思凯, 爱的亲亲,
they had invented a few more versions as years passed
clap x 7
clap x 7
clap x 7
bi-bo bi-bo
ok, shall talk abt the games and food in the next posting
