Fine
For the 1st time in my life, I owe so much fines to the National library that I exceede $6 limit and can't borrow books. And i didn't even now abt it.
This morning, decided to return my library book. Though i had lost the receipt, I thought the due date is around these few days.
Imagine my surprise when i was borrowing 4 other books at the self service loaning machine, and it prompted me to go to theservice counter.
To my surprise, the staff told me I have overdue fines of $9.70.
I was stunned.
Why so much? And I thought library will send you a reminder if you have fines more than $6 and not paid. I went to the self check machine and look through the details. Darn, I had miscalculated, I returned the 4 books 13 days after date due.
When I reach home, my brother sacarsticly told me he got good news for me.
And he show me the reminder from National Library....
Apparent, it only arrived today....
