Weekends 24-25 Sep
Walked quite a lot on weekends.
On Sat evening, walked from my grandma’s home to the library when normally I would have taken a bus. Then walked back from library to home (and that is from one town to the neighbouring town lor). I did something while I was walking, that I shall talked abt it on my other blog.
Then on Sun, I dunno what the hell gotten into my mind, I walked from Chinatown to Bugis, just because I have a craving for bubble tea before I board the bus home. Wanted to take pics of the MICA and Central Fire Station as I walked past them, but wasn’t feeling very confident with capturing them from the right angles.
Watched Adam Sandler’s The longest Yard on Sat morning (yeah redeem a pairs of tickets with the free GV movie vouchers). 我想,这次会去看Adam Sandler 的电影, 代表我已经打开了心结。
I had given Sandler’s “50 First Dates” a miss last year (despite all the positive reviews) cos I know watching Sandler’s movie will bring back painful memories of my 2nd ex. He’s a fan of Sandler. Our first movie date was spent watching “Punch Drunk Love” (staring Adam Sandler and Emily Watson). That was when we saw the trailer for Sandler’s other movie” Anger Management” and that was our 2nd movie together. I can still remember vividly where and what happened we caught “anger Management” as it happened during a difficult period. “Difficult period” as in it was the SARS period. That was the first time I entered a cinema theatre which smelt like a hospital ward (from the antiseptic).
The Longest Yard was rather different from Sandler’s past movies. Less gags and slapsticks but it touched more on the characters. You actually feel for the other characters too. One major difference. There is no female lead in this movies (No Drew Barrymore, no Marisa Tomei), unless u count the effeminate cheerleaders. Hahaha.
很“男性”的电影。最近不知怎么搞的,跟这类电影很有缘。这个星期又有免费电影 (Four Brothers)看。而且还是首映哦!可是刚刚去查看review, 好像是部充满暴力
和血腥的电影…
