31 Oct 2005,-- Monsters Birthday Cum Halloween Nite

Shall I say this post is not for the faint-hearted,for there are lots of gory pics.

Attended the Mon-sters Birthday celebration @ Muchuan on Monday. As it coincides with Halloween, it was a Halloween theme celebration. We were told to dress in "dun be normal" clothes, an we the "chi Ba Boms" had discussed earlier to dress up as School Ghosts, and also planned to arrivein our normal clothes and then secretly changed into our "costumes", which are our uniforms.

Had bought the fake blood weeks ago at Carrefour and had managed to buy those "ah Ma" powder (white powder which comes in a squarish box with a pic Chinese woman wearing a cheongsam on the box cover) at the last minute. Sips had mentioned that baby powder doesn't make face white enough and she had seen her neighbouring hall mates using this type of powder to "whiten" their faces.

At 7+pm, we sneaked off the to the basement and I got changed into my SA JC uniform which Sips had helped to borrow. Shirt was slightly large for my size ( but nvm, as that is good for a "lifeless effect") but heng heng I can fit into the skirt (that was what I had worried abt). And so I begin my "makeover" first, to show the other what make up I have in mind for them. See pic below:

See the reflection too!

Basically, i was just "enhancing" my faults. I am not tan, so apply more white powder to make my face fairer.
then someone commented that that made my dark eye rings more obvious, and I enhanced the dark eye cicles with dark eye shadow and eyeliner. My lips are not thin, so apply striking red lipstick to make it look bloody. Hair not very satight , so purposely clip it to make it look messier.
And that was how I looked before I applied the fake blood. With my "icy glare" , so I looked like a Character from Corpse Bride? hahaha.

But again, there is a disadvantage of being a "prototype", the others, seeing how ugly I look, dun wanna look too ugly. So i only applied white powder of them and let them decided where they want to applied their fake blood. Only Jiahao and Songyu applied dark eye shadow under their eye.
To me, it was a case of :难得有机会扮丑, 所以就豁出去. haha.

Speaking of Songyu, he is the most creative among us. He simply just squeezed out a lump of fake blood on his forehead and was jumping arouund, trying to let the fake blood trickle down his face . To prevent the fake blood from dipping down onto his uniform, he went to grabbed a long piece of toilet paper and tied it across his jaw to his head, making it seemed like he was bandaged.

Anyway, here are how we looked after the "makeover". (pics were taken after the Monsters' performance and by then, the white powder had faded and the fake blood had dried & being peeled off).

Was rather Pai-seh when we stepped into Muchuan, for other patrons were dressed normally despited the dress code. But nvm lah, we showed our support to Mons-ters by obeying the dress code.

Din managed to take pic of the interior decors of Muchuan. It was very well done, they hanged cowwebs, lanterns, devil spears, and brooms from the ceiling. One would almost thought that it had been coverted into a theme restaurant.

The Monsters first appeared dressed in T-shirts (with their Logo printed) and jeans. And they sort of did a "对调身份", where the guys sang songs that were usually sang by the female members of their group and vice versa. For example:

Ah Du sang 遗失的美好 (which Meilian usualy sang),
Jianhua sang 分手快乐,
Meilian sang 痴心绝对, Forever Love
Ximei sang 远走高飞
Ah Du and Jianhua sang 原点,
Ximei and Meilian sang One Nite in BeiJing ( we were laughing madly when they were performing this song).

Then there was an interval where they went off to change into their costumes and we checked out the stuff we receive in our good bags.

And then Monsters returned on stage looking like this:

Ah Du is Dracula, Meilian is Trinity(from Matrix), Ximei is.... forgot what her charcter was but she got this pair of horns, a tail and a spear, and Jianhua is Zorro.

The second segment was much fun and high, they started with Jay Chou's 威廉古堡 and then proceeded with songs with beats and songs that they had never performed before. We enjoyed Ximei's rendition of 看我72变 (she was rather high then, and made a lot of funny actions)and the very song2 song--My Anata (Ah Du sound like Indian man initially and ML & XM complemented the song with very song2 actions) .

Then there was this best dressed award which I think Songyu would have gotten it if he din remove his bandage. Yeah I confessed that i find it awkward they giving the award to "ga-ki-nang", and I fins it awkward going up on stage. Was given a Witch toy which moves and gives out this evil "heh heh heh" laughter, and a $50 nett Costa Sand chalet voucher. Anyway the prizes will be shared by Chibaboms no matter who gets it, so seems like we will need to organise a chalet soon.

Here is the pic of me and the doll (had given it to Jiahao, who wanted to use it to scare his bro, keke).

Yeah, super ugly right? Never had I been this ugly before. Hahahaha.

Now here are some more pics taken after the event.

Enough of gory pics, here is one cute pic of the soft toys I received.

So after the performance, we took some pics and get changed (that includes the removal of our make up). by the time we had settled our stuff, it was past 1am. Took a cab to Cineleisure, had supper at Yoshiniya, and those who can "dawn", just spent time talking crap. It was this talk crap session that we discover many "特技" we could do with different parts of the body, eg: bending fingers, lifting "knee-cap". That i shall not touch upon. Cos it's late now and I need my sleep.
