Weekend 26-27 Nov 05
Nothing much interesting happened. Except for the period where I have to buy take-away dinner, I almost stayed at home for the whole Sat-- making cards.
Even when I 乖乖 stayed in my room, the tigress, perhaps nothing to do, came into my room and scolded me.
"为什么你很喜欢浪费时间，浪费钱，做这些东西。"
Now. that really pissed me off.
Don't you know what is call "hobby"? Even if I spend $ on the materials, I still give you your monthly allowance. It is not as if I cut yr allowance and spent the money on these. I used the $ meant for my own savings instead. Unlike you who now went on weekly shopping trips, buying clothes for yrself, and still got the cheek to say that sis and I are often buying clothes. Go and check my warerobe and you will find that I had not bought any office wear for months. The only recent accquired dress was bought for a friend's wedding dinner. No wonder sis and even her bf said you are practising "double standards".
You will never understand the satisfaction I have from making these cards. Anything that doesn't generate monetary returns, you will disapprove. Darn!
Yes, that affected me. And I think the few cards I had made after the incident suck. They look ugly to me....
Anyway by Sunday morning, I had made
45 cards in total. About 10 more to go.
This is the bag of
43 cards. Had already been given out one last Sunday and I took out the other one, prepared to give Fannie, whom I meet up with on Sunday afternoon.
This is one of my favourite and most satisfied works ( and one of the most expensive piece). Of cos, it is meant for my best friend of 9 years. 九年的朋友不是白做的。哈哈哈。 Fannie commented that I like to stress the 9-year friendship recently. Well it is because I rather like the number 9, 好像代表“长长久久”。还过几个月，就是新的一年了；那我就该说“十年之前，我不认识你，你不属于我...”

Ok , enough of the nonsense. I like the card so much that 我有点舍不得送给人。 (
Interrupt: Ahhhhh, radio is playing 李圣杰's 《痴心绝对》 now!) Cos I am proud of of this creation as it turned out well. Was looking at the materials I have and suddenly had the inspiration to make use of the holographic green sticker I had bought. And friends know I can't see straight lines well, so often my cards tend to be a bit "seng-aye".
However, for this card, I manage to paste everything perfectly.

By the way, you can see part of my "showcase" in the background of the above pic . I had converted a bookshelf to display my presents, trophies and creations. Can see a mushroom glass sculpture, a Precious Moment doll, a polar bear, and dolphins sculpture?
Meet up with Fannie in the afternoon for vocal practice, hahaha I mean KTV lah. 4 hrs leh. I was singing most of the songs as she was having a sore throat. Rather disappointed that Party World did not have the song I want, though Joi Chua's latest album did include the MTVs. Passed her the Xmas card and Xmas present. Really tempted to take the card back. hahaha.
