我的决定是对的.
“我的决定是对的。”~张惠妹《我要快乐》
Was telling Du & ZhuYin-look-alike last week that I really felt like cringing whenever I had to sing the last sentence of the song. Cos I dunno if the decision I made was right.
花了很多时间去考虑,询问很多朋友的意见。
可是,最后还是得由自己去做决定。
由于不是大家一致认同的决定,我很难说服自己“我的决定是对的。”
(continue this post after a week).
Ok ok. I shall reveal what I had chosen, for those who do not know.
I choose the company which is located far away from my home (perhaps I shall get myself an mp3 player), pay increment at a later date and jobscope which is more challenging than the other.
Even though the other offer’s pay (after a year) is tempting, I really can’t see myself to do something which I do not like just because of $.
A few friends comments that they would have choose a simpler job, cos at this point, they would like to settle down, have time to plan their wedding or new homes. While some just want a simple job, which allows you leave exactly on the dot hence having more time for activities (meet friends, took up courses…).
I do have plans for further studies and I know the organization I had chosen to work for is located at the other end of Singapore. But from the interactions with them, it seems that they are more encouraging towards life-long learning, they mentioned that I could start work earlier so that I can leave earlier on those dates then. (Otherwise I just hope there will be vacancies at the headquarters and I can be transferred to the head office then).
I did took my friend’s advise to list down the various factors to aid me in choosing: traveling distance, stress level, future boss, benefits, environment. But then how are you really gonna to judge the future boss and environment base on what you had seen in the interviews…
I have to say, if I care only abt myself, $ is not a factor, I would not even have to make a choice between the two in the first place. Things will be much simpler then. Just “grab & go”.
Anyway, I had signed the contracts. To my surprise, there is this flexi-benefit entitlement of $520 after a year. Not bad arh.
