Posting for 24- 29 Dec (more Xmas Presents)

Finally have time to sit down and blog abt recent happenings. Had done some more e-scrapbooking to beautify my pics. haha

24 Dec

Met up with Fannie and her bf at Marina Square. "The Grasses" were supposed to join us but cant make it. Received a "very ikea" Xmas present from Fannie.

Now then I realised i did not took a pic of the present before i "disassemble" it. so no pic to show. Ooops.

We ate at Imperial Restaurant. In short, we just find their service pale in comparison to their rival -- Crystal Jade. Unless u are a Tai-tai, u will then be treated like someone from the Imperial. The waitress who took our order sounded snobbish too. The three of us only ordered two main dishes and two side dishes, as the couple were not very hungry and the waitress was like commenting : "你们只叫了一碗面？" .

The noodle I ate was too starchy , couldn't finish it. Well... can see I din enjoy my meal.


Went home around 5+pm and then went out with family for a free dinner (worth $32 each) at Organic Cafe Xperience (Dad had 4 tickets sponsored by his company).
Shall put up the Menu at a later date, after I had manage to get my scanner link to this notebook.

Met up with Flutterby for dinner at Citylink before we went to Muchuan to attend Monsters 2nd Birthday Celebration. Wanted to try out the New York New York Cafe but the queue was too long. So we had our dinner at the Ninja Restaurant instead.

(had been eating good food for the past few days.)

The service was not bad, much better than Imperial's, but could be better. The interiors of the Japanese Restaurant seems posh ; we initially tot that the food might be too expensive for our budget , but it was reasonable.

Flutterby and I exchanged xmas gifts and I received this:

I also given her something DIY and similar but din take a pic of it. hahaha.


Had not been to Monsters' performance for months, hence i din wanna miss their important performance. Can see that they really put in a lot of efforts for that night. Ah-du 还出动了他的“二奶”。

To link to their 2nd Anniversary, they prepared lots of duets and came up with medleys. I love medleys. hahah. As for duets, some of them are classic duets which we din hear them for a long time -- 天下有情人，流言。 Hmmm, 好怀旧哦。

I wondered which Monster came up with the idea of giving the audience a "How-well-U-Know-Monsters" quiz. I just passed it with a score of 4 out of 8. Flutterby got 1 mark. So, for the Chibaboms who are reading this, u can see the quiz wasn't tat easy...




More presents received. (click on the pic for a larger view) The purple hippo is a magnetic memo holder. My fav shade of purple!
Pearl necklace and xmas card were from Eileen. So sweet of her to buy "some beady stuff' (as she puts it) cos she knew I like them.

And on the bottom left, there is this Snoopy pin from Ximei which gives out flashing red & blue lights.

Had 2 great meals. One was the company lunch at Da Dong Dim Sum Restaurant. har gao, siew mai, carrot cakes.. . despite we only taking a piece of each , we were feeling full towards the last few dishes, cos they were all abt the same....prawns prawns & more prawns. kekeke


Had steamboat dinner with my "SPH Gang" friends. Yes, we had dinner at the chong qing steamboat resturant @ beach Road. Ever since some saw how I did my Family-taught "腐乳 marinated "style of cooking , they wanted to try out the method too.

Receive by belated Xmas presents from them. So happy. Cos it seems like I was receiving birthday presents too, cos Ah-ka, clownette & Nana all gave me presents which are in my fav colour:
