taiwan 2007 trip-- day 2
18 Jan 07 (Thur)Has already anticipated that I would be spending a lot of $ on this day, cos scheduled to visit the DIY craft supplies stores and shopping for clothes at wu fen pu 五分埔. Never did I expect that I would spend ard NTW$6000 in a day!
Morning, went to check out Bear Mama store at 延平北路。
This is the shop front. What I like most are the pre-pack DIY necklace kits. And the beads are so special! Quickly smsed flutterby if she wanna a pack. Haha, i think she'd go crazy if she was there.
Had breakfast at a nearby cafe
呷尚宝。Refer to my "artwork" below: (click for a larger view)
Then continue to explore the other craft shops along the area. Bought quite a few stuff from other shops too.
Then proceed to 后山埤station for clothes shopping at 五分埔.
Had lunch at
胡须长卤肉饭 shop , which is at 永吉路。 My orders were:
and I had taken their namecard and scanned for you guys, in case u are interested to visit it:
Shopped at 五分埔 for hours . As it was the winter season, only winter wear were available. These are some of the stuff I had bought:
NOT INCLUDED in the above pics were;
- a brown top for my sis
- a top for my friend
Then went to 台北地下街,an underground shopping mall and ended up purchasing this:
keke cos can get a chance to wear boots while in Taipei, so buy for fun lor ($20 , not ex mah).
Also bought a pair of pink & gold shoes for CNY -- cost only S$10
Dinner was at 鼎泰丰, 信義店(本店)with Sally & Chile.
The address is:台北市信義路二段194號(永康街口)
In summary, here's my artwork:
Didn't take pictures of the soup, buns and 韭菜饺。
After a hearty meal, we decided to explore the nearby 永康街。(it is not name after the singer 苏永康ok!). Explored a 2nd handed CD/books shop.
Then walked passed the famous ICE Monster. Chile suggested to eat icy cold "ice-kachang" in the cold weather.
In the end, she bought this "青蛙包二奶" first.
"青蛙包二奶" is actually like the normal pearl milk tea. "二奶" means 2 types of milk were used -- 鲜奶与炼乳。
Bought this mixed fruit ice which costed NTW$160 @
Ice MONSTER (冰馆). Compared to Singapore's ice kachang, it can be considered expensive but it tasted much better.
For the benefit of those who may wanna check out these two shops, I did remember to "kope" their namecards and here are the scanned copies: (CLICK for larger view)
(cant believe this post took me abt 4 hours to complete!)
