To my dear friends, relax, I didn't change my name to "Harmonie Wong". If you hadn't read my first entry, it's just a nick. However, there is a story behind. "Wong"was chosen because of family's history with the surname. As for "Harmonie", it's because of a numerology pairing with "Wong". You can read more abt it in my 1st entry. Actually wanted to post this after I had receive the pictures from my colleagues. But after waiting for more than a week, I guess I shan't wait any longer. Pics will be updated at a later date.
For hose who are wonder why 今年我破例不出席一年一度的通讯员俱乐部颁奖典礼 (cum 25th Anniversary too), that's was the reason --- I have to attend my company D& D which was held on the same evening. My ticket was sponsored by my boss, so I had more reason not to skip it (not to mention that the dinner was held at Suntec Ballroom, and guest performances include performances by Jonathan Leong & the band UnXpected)
Dress code for that night was rather easy-- Formal. Ladies to come in cocktail dress. Heard from boss that the theme for the last D&D was tribal/safari.
For my colleagues and I who were not uniformed staff, I dun think we had much difficulty recognising one another that nite. There are instances where we do not recognised those colleagues whom we seem regularly in their uniforms and bun-up hair. Some really looked so different that we totally ignore them when we walked passed, thinking that they were someone whom we do not know.
Speaking of dressing up, there was this Best Dressed prize presentation segment at the D&D. Come to think of it, the winners weren't not always the best dress. They are usually just the more daring ones who dare to do all the actions that the emcee requested of them while they are doing the catwalk.
Won't announce here on what the winners did, but can guess how "hiong" the winner was from these words quoted by the emcee:
"She not only touched me, she also touched herself!"
Anyway I was rather sotong or u can sway that day. I was happily recording JonathanLeong's performance on my mp3 player until towards the end of his last song, I realised that I had been recording in the wrong mode. So the whole file was muted....
Managed to see someone loaded two videos on Jonathan Leongpreforming his 2nd and 3rd song of the nite.(Noboday recorded his first song--Unforgettable). But have to warn you all, the images can be quite shaky.
