原来如此

Just managed to finish writing abt morning of the wedding which I had attended on 11 Nov in the prev post, still need to find time to write up on what happened at the dinner.
Should not neglect on what happened the past few days.

Ok so far the major events at work were over. The clinic was officially opened by the Minister of State on Thur. One lesson we have learnt is to sent out more invitations the next round. Cos out of the 200 invites we sent out, only 50+ mentioned that could make it. And out of the 50+, only 50% turned out on the actual day . Well clinicians are busy people...

If not for we get our fellow colleagues to ask around, we would not be able to get 60% of the auditorium filled up.

What is interesting to see is that after the session at the auditorium is over, the guest were all invited to go up to the clinic for a tour and the refreshments. Though many of them left, we have a higher turnout of guests at the clinic -- most of them whom we had not seen at the auditorium.

Their main purpose -- free food. We catered a $15 per head buffet for 80 guests. Needless to say, there wasn't any food for the clinic staff to da-pao back...


Attending the Staff Appreciation event on Friday. The organisation was so generous to provide free buffet lunch for the staff. Think they need to cater for more than 1000 headcount. It's a much simple buffet of 5 different dishes. There were in total of 4 different queues for the food. While queueing for the food, we noticed out quickly the food were snapped up and the workers have to keeping refilling the dishes of beehoon and noodles. Rather disgusted by the two aunties in their nursing uniform behind me who shouted at the workers :

" Hey, u put the dishes over here leh. U refill there dun refill here."

Well, perhaps it was what happened on the prev day which made me feel more negative towards their behaviour....

I quite like this song by 侧田 (or better known as Justin Lo) when I heard it over the radio a few weeks ago. Now then i know why some DJs had often emphasis to the listeners to take note of the lyrics of this song when they are introducing it.
